UPDATE 28/5/19: Sci-fi strategy game Stellaris’ latest Story Pack DLC, the archaeology themed Ancient Relics, will launch next week, on 4th June.
The brisk version of the Ancient Relics’ additions goes something like this: two new Precursor civilisations (the Baol and the Zroni) to uncover, new Ancient Relics providing “significant benefits” to your empire (either given as rewards or found by digging at archaeological sites), new Relic Worlds featuring guaranteed dig sites, new dig-related story missions, and the new Minor Artifacts resource.
The below video, however, details Ancient Relics’ new features a little more thoroughly, and it’ll only take four and a half minutes of your time.

Ancient Relics will costs £7.19/$9.99 USD when it releases for PC and Mac next week, 4th June.
ORIGINAL STORY 14/5/19: Paradox Interactive has unveiled a brand-new story pack for its wonderful sci-fi strategy title Stellaris. It’s called Ancient Relics, and is scheduled to arrive on PC and Mac “soon”.
Stellaris’ story packs have historically foregone the major features seen in flagship expansions, and have instead sought to enrich the experience through deeper lore and other intrigue. To date, Stellaris has received three story packs – Leviathans, Synthetic Dawn, and Distant Stars (focussing on ancient aliens, robots, and extragalactic travel, respectively) – and Ancient Relics promises to bring an archaeological twist to the 4X core.
